Jess is a project coordinator whose work is driven by a passion for serving others and ensuring that all people can live their lives powerfully and in a way that is fulfilling to them. Jess is particularly dedicated to working with public agency staff to design and redesign systems that allow equitable access for everyone they serve. Jess is also highly skilled in communication and creating organizational structures that lead to impactful work. In addition to supporting clients in project coordination, Jess also has deep experience in working with large-scale advocacy groups and navigating political systems.
Prior to joining HSRI, Jess was an assistant director at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where her work involved managing projects related to student housing and Title IX. Prior to that, Jess worked as a campaigner for Change.org, which gave her insight into the world of petition writing and grassroots campaigning. Jess has volunteered at a variety of organizations, including rebuilding abandoned houses in Virginia and working at an animal sanctuary, through various opportunities in her previous roles.
When not at work, Jess enjoys spending time relaxing or going for walks with her partner and two pugs. She also enjoys watching movies and playing video games with her friends.
