Research Analyst
Virginia is a research analyst whose work is driven by a passion to help facilitate people’s access to care based on their own unique needs and strengths. Virginia is particularly dedicated to working with public agency staff to ensure they have the information they need to provide transparent, reliable, and equitable services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Virginia is also highly skilled in quantitative analysis and making data digestible and easy to understand. In addition to supporting clients with their data needs, Virginia has experience working within a state system to evaluate support budgets for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Prior to joining HSRI, Virginia was a professor at Voorhees University, where she taught students valuable research skills. Virginia continues to teach occasional courses at Voorhees University and the Massachusetts College of Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences. Before teaching, Virginia did her PhD at Grand Canyon University, conducting research that evaluated how demographic dissimilarity impacts group identification.
When not at work, Virginia enjoys hanging out with her family and dog, reading, playing piano, and trying to keep her plants alive.
