Arizona Provider Network Development Project

Opportunity

HSRI, along with partners at Burns & Associates/Health Management Associates (HMA), worked with the state of Arizona to support their department to improve service models and contract design for services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities, and with community input, aligned with the department’s vision and values.

Approach

As part of this work, HSRI researched and analyzed promising and innovative practices related to service delivery which resulted in a written report and presentation. In addition, HSRI was responsible for developing and implementing a constituent engagement plan and providing support and technical assistance during the implementation.

Impact

Our team drafted a complete contract for providers delivering all HCBS services for the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Key findings included: outlines of new services, quality requirements, and provider network obligations.
