Jasmine is a project coordinator with a commitment to equity-focused, collaborative research that supports healthy, thriving communities. Jasmine is dedicated to working with public agency staff to craft community-based, person-driven service systems, and is skilled in health systems research, project management, and patient outreach. In addition to supporting clients with project coordination, Jasmine connects individuals and families in need with relevant and safe health services. She speaks English, Spanish, and a little Swedish.
Before joining HSRI, Jasmine was a clinical research coordinator at Virginia Commonwealth University, where her work examined people’s experiences with COVID-19 across Virginia. Prior to that, Jasmine worked as a researcher on projects related to sexual and reproductive rights, democracy, and economic justice. She has volunteered at the Swedish Network for International Health, Sterling Meadows Mercy Housing, and at a confidential domestic violence shelter.
When not at work, Jasmine enjoys blowing glass, attempting a daily yoga practice, and playing Magic the Gathering.
The most meaningful part of my work is finding creative ways to hear from people with lived experience, their loved ones, and those in the service system on how we can foster more equitable systems.
