Director of Communications

Lauren is a director of communications who is dedicated to using her skills in communications and marketing to support policies and practices to make the world a better place. Her work is driven by a passion for empowering people priced out of stable housing to achieve housing and economic security, and she is particularly dedicated to working with the HSRI team to support the populations served by our focus areas. Lauren is highly skilled in project management and storytelling.

Prior to joining HSRI, Lauren was a director of communications and marketing at both non-profit and academic institutions, where her work addressed developing compelling communications and effective marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility. She also served as an adjunct professor of business writing at Boston University for seven years. Lauren has volunteered at many animal welfare organizations, and she and her spouse are engaged in cat and guinea pig rescue.

When not at work, Lauren enjoys art, theatre, literature, and walking in the woods surrounding her New Hampshire home.
