Teresita Camacho-Gonsalves
Senior Policy Associate
Terry is a senior policy associate for HSRI’s Behavioral Health team, and her work is driven by a passion for ensuring that all people, including people who are living with mental health and/or substance use disorders and people experiencing homelessness, have the supports they need to thrive. Terry is particularly dedicated to working with public agency staff to evaluate and improve services and systems. She is highly skilled in managing evaluation and research projects, designing evaluations, and guiding data collection and reporting efforts. Terry also has deep experience with the provision of technical assistance and training. She has experience and interest in measuring cultural competency and has been the chair of HSRI’s Institutional Review Board since 2011. Terry is fluent in Spanish.
Prior to joining HSRI, Terry was a special assistant for multicultural projects at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, addressing multicultural issues within the department. Prior to that, Terry worked as a research analyst at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health on projects related to adult mental health.
When not at work, Terry enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
