Vivien is a research analyst whose work is driven by a passion for research-informed and person-centered approaches to public health issues. She is dedicated to working with public agency staff to incorporate a research perspective into the design and evaluation of programs addressing health disparities in marginalized communities. Vivien is highly skilled in epidemiological research methods, program management and evaluation. She also has experience in working with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and grant management. She is skilled in statistical software including R and SAS.
Prior to joining HSRI, Vivien was a research assistant at the Boston University Global Health department, where her work focused on qualitative data analysis of an early childhood development program in Zambia. Prior to that, she worked as a global programs fellow at Susan G. Komen on projects that managed evidence-based and culturally sensitive breast cancer interventions. She also has worked as a physician in public and private hospitals in Nigeria providing primary care to patients and improving their health outcomes. Vivien has volunteered with anti-cancer organizations and numerous community outreach events serving women, people without housing, and low-income earners.
Outside of work, Vivien enjoys going on walks, cooking, playing basketball, and writing poetry.
